The West Linn Historical Society has retired the Willamette Living History Tour: An Evening Willamette. We do not currently have plans to bring the Willamette Living History Tour back.
HISTORY
The Willamette Living History Tour began in 2008 as a part of the Centennial Celebration of the incorporation of the Town of Willamette in West Linn, OR. Due to the overwhelming success, the Willamette Living History Lantern Light Tour become an annual event on the second Saturday of each September. In 2013, in honor of the Centennial Celebration of the incorporation of the City of West Linn, an all new script depicting the year 1913 was created. All characters and scene were created through extensive research of primary documents to provide the most accurate interpretation of the days of old. In 2018, another new script was commissioned to depict the year 1922, when the modern Arch Bridge between West Linn and Oregon City was completed. The last tour was conducted in 2019, when the lockdown from COVID-19 forced a cancellation and the event was retired by the West Linn Historical Society after that event.
